Hello
I’m India, the florist behind Thistle & String. It all started in 2017 from my little top floor flat in Tunbridge Wells, where I spent my days carrying buckets of flowers up three flights of stairs and filling every inch of space with blooms. What began as a small idea has grown into a thriving floral studio, creating flowers for weddings, events, and all kinds of special occasions.
With a background in fine art and sculpture, I see flowers as more than just petals and stems. It’s about shape, movement, and atmosphere. Every wedding and event is designed with care, with colours and details refined until everything feels just right. I put my whole heart into what I do, and I love nothing more than seeing everything come together on the day.
Before launching Thistle & String, I trained with some incredible florists, including Petersham Nurseries, Paul Thomas, Moyses Stevens, and Floward. Their influence, combined with my own artistic instincts, has shaped my style.
